e-Office Mobile Data Alerter v3.2.1 - e-office mobile developed a standalone BlackBerry® solution that will help you and your colleagues become more aware of their day to day data consumption when travelling.

A small resident application will monitor the number of data packages that is travelling to and from your BlackBerry smartphone. Based on a number of business rules the end user and/or your companies telecoms management receive notifications before significant ‘financial harm’ is done.

On a personal note, I found this app very useful. It helped me solve a problem that I was having with my PlayBook, oddly enough. I highly recommend this app if your provider caps your usage. You can set up multiple specific data usage alerts (ex. 5mb, 10mb, and so on) and the app will alert you when those thresholds have been reached. It also separates wifi, carrier and roaming usage.
